How long have you been with Orion MIS?
I have been working at Orion Mis for nearly a year, and I am enjoying every minute of my job.
What did you do before joining Orion MIS?
I have a wide range of experiences in different business areas. I have been working in finance for 10 years. Also I had worked for the Boats design company as a marketing consultant. Moreover I have experienced as an Analyst in the Energy sector.
What is your role within Orion MIS?
I am the financial controller in the company and I responsible for all of the company's finances & accounting.
What are you responsible for on a day-to-day basis?
I responsible for all the matters of company financial accounting and funding facility. e.g...reconcile accounts and ensure all payments have been allocated properly. POs & invoices are raised accurately, the service fees have been charged correctly. Uploading the daily accounting details, check payroll and uploading pension reports, financial reports and the management reports are up to date.
How would this process work?
Pay attention to details, regularly communicate to our suppliers, customers and funding facility. Make sure all payments and costs have been allocated properly.
What are three strengths that help you in your role?
First, I had BA degree in business and MSc degree in Finance, that has provided me with excellent business and finance skills to contribute to Orion.
Secondly, as I can speak two languages, that has helped me have a good understanding of different cultures, as well as the advantages of dealing with oversea customers.
Finally, I have a positive attitude, I'm analytical, I've got good number skills, I'm a fast learner and I have initiative.
What do you think makes Orion MIS successful?
Externally, meeting customer needs and providing quality projects.
Internally, looking for ways to save costs and increase margin.
Finally, working as a team and setting a common goal with right attitude and communication.
