We have a wide range of customers in a variety of industries, including logistics, parcel and post, manufacturing, food and beverages, automotive and pharmaceutical.


Job Description

This role is responsible for all aspects of the project requirements and specifications. Working closely with the project and installation team, you will report directly to the projects director and will be dealing with blue chip clients on large scale automation projects.

The role will include international travel and will be a mixture of home based, site based and office based working.
The Project Engineer will represent the Orion image at all times and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained. 


Job Role

  • Accountable for ensuring that projects are delivered to deadline and budget in a dynamic and fast paced environment, maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. 

  • Accountable for understanding, mitigating and escalating risks as we as maintaining health and safety throughout sites.

  • Responsible for the scheduling of projects works and reviewing progress throughout the project time frame.

  • Responsible for creating technical specifications and documentations of projects.

  • Extensive demonstratable experience of the automated material handling industry.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with teams and the projects director.

  • Good working knowledge of automation equipment.

  • Desired engineering degree 2:1.

  • AutoCAD experience preferable.

  • Microsoft projects experience preferable.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office.

  • Self-motivated and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Organisation and time management skills essential.

  • Willingness to travel to other UK locations and a full UK Driving licence.
