CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Orion specialises in automation and are independent integrators of MHE and sortation equipment within the logistics and manufacturing industry. This role will give someone the opportunity to be involved in a thriving young company, the fastest growing automation business in the UK. We are looking for a Customer Account Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team.

This role will play a key part of the Orion management team. Reporting into the customer service director you will be responsible for the ongoing business development of the aftersales department and customer experience. The role will be home based with a mixture of site-based travel and some office meetings at our HQ in Chichester.

Job Role

  • Build a strong long-term relationship and seek new sales opportunities with existing client base.

  • To expand the client base with smaller modernisation and upgrade opportunities, reporting directly into the customer service director.

  • Responsible for warranty processing and spares packages.

  • Key point of contact for ongoing customer support/relationships.

  • Customer retention, to ensure ongoing contracts are adhered to and renewed.

  • Provide financial reports on the status of sales, forecast and contract performance.

  • Manage the customer experience.

  • Part of the escalation procedure for the customers and any issues.

  • Take accountability and ownership for the delivery of monthly KPIs.

  • Management of the onsite engineering teams.

  • Ensure teams are kept up to date and maintain a high standard of the latest health and safety legislation.

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the CRM software, with a focus on ensuring we maximise opportunities.

Requirements

  • Sales experience with a strong customer focus

  • Experience of warehouse automation industry

  • Engineering experience is preferable.

  • Good IT skills, especially with MS office package

  • SAP or stock management system experience is preferable.

  • Ability to run a CRM software package.

  • Managerial experience in medium-sized departments with ability to appraise direct reports.
