When did you establish Orion MIS?
On the 19th of December 2018.
Why did you choose the name Orion MIS?
Danny and I were sitting on a mountain in Austria and we were going over potential names for the business.
Danny looked up and saw Orion's belt. We liked the name and that then became our brand. MIS stands for management, integration, support, so it stands for what we do.
What did you do before Orion MIS?
I was an Account manager at Dematic.
What is your role within Orion MIS?
Director and Co-Founder.
What are you responsible for on a day-to-day basis?
My role is more customer service focused, ensuring that customer relations are strong, and Orion are always given opportunities to bid on the medium - large sized projects. I also verify the engineering solutions for the projects to eliminate as many foreseen issues as possible before a project is manufactured. I also manage the finances of the business too.
How would this process work?
My main role is Customer service and sales, I speak with the customers to help them make their systems become more efficient. I also make the main decisions alongside my directing partner Danny. I work with the team to make sure customer concepts become reality.
What are three strengths that help you in your role?
What do you think makes Orion MIS successful?
Having a team that works well together and gets on with the job. Everyone knows what needs to be done and does it without complaint.
What are your plans for the remainder of 2021?
Continuing the rapid growth of the company, move into some new industries and continue to support our existing customers with ongoing projects or after handover support.
